Alice Yu works as Business Strategist in the Climate Change team at The City of Calgary, supporting Calgary Climate Resilience Strategy and Actions Plans. Prior to her current role, she worked as an Energy Efficiency Engineer with almost 10 years of experience, specialized in GHG emissions reduction in oil and gas sectors, where she managed the energy efficiency, low carbon and clean technology development projects and initiatives through various government funding, provided guidance on air pollutants regulations and climate policy and led the carbon offsets and credits portfolios. She acted as Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada (PTAC) Technologies for Emissions Reduction and Eco-efficiency Committee Chair, Canada Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) GHG EPA Steering Committee representatives, COSIA in-situ Energy Efficiency working groups co-lead to collaborate with other industry companies to develop innovation strategy and projects. In 2016, she was awarded for PTAC Eco-efficiency Leadership Award and in 2018, she won the Young Women in Energy Award and was selected as one of the top 150 sustainable young leaders across Canada.
