Aigerim joined the University of Calgary in September 2017 as a PhD student in Chemical Engineering. She received her Combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in Petroleum Engineering in December 2010 sponsored by the Kazakhstan Governmental scholarship and TengizChevrOil company. She has work experience as a senior lecturer at Kazakh-British Technical University Petroleum Engineering department, trading petroleum products, and as a petroleum products specialist in refinery distribution company. In Fall 2014-Spring 2015 year she was involved in a project of nano confined flow behaviour study and phase change within silicone nano-channels study at CSM and silicone nano chip fabrication in Oak Ridge National Research Laboratory, TN, USA. Her current research interests includes the complex fluid flow enhanced characterization.
