Anamika Mukherjee as Manager of Technology Commercialization, is responsible for scaling up and strategically deploying new technology at Cenovus. This follows a year of secondment to the Canadian Federal Government where Anamika worked as Chief of Staff to the Resources of the Future Economic Strategy Table, where she coordinated governments and resource sector CEOs across Canada to land on policy recommendations to the federal government to boost Canada’s economic competitiveness. Prior to this, Anamika held several different roles at Cenovus including managing Cenovus’s GHG innovation strategy, leading the air, climate and energy efficiency in the Environment team, where she provided guidance to leadership regarding air pollutants regulations, climate policy and life cycle analysis. In 2015, she was recognized by the industry through the Young Women in Energy Award for her commitment and expertise on climate change issues. In 2016, she was recognized by the Alberta Oil Magazine for her efforts to make oil a part of a clean energy future. In 2017, she was featured by Natural Resources Canada's Generation Energy for forging the path to clean energy. In 2018, Anamika received the Deputy Minister’s Award from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada for her outstanding contribution to the Economic Strategy Tables. Anamika has bachelor and master's degrees in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration in Strategy, is a Professional Engineer with APEGA and a Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. She's also a seasonal Project Management instructor at the University of Calgary.
