Sajjad Esmaeili is a Ph.D. Candidate in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at the University of Calgary. His current work focuses on the experimental study of two- and three-phase relative permeability under SAGD conditions for the Canadian oil-sand which is supported by CFREF and NEXEN-CNOOC/NSERC. Esmaeili has a M.Sc. in petroleum engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran and a B.Sc. in petroleum engineering from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran. His research interests include the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), flow in porous media, reservoir simulation, phase behavior, and asphaltene precipitation. He has two national patents in petroleum engineering and is a member of the Petroleum Society and CSChE.
