Juana Cruz Hernández

Senior Research Engineer at Mexican Institute of Petroleum

Dr. Juana Cruz-Hernandez obtained a Bachelor of Physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, A Master of Science (Physics) and PhD (Physical Chemistry) from the same University. Since 1987 she is a Research Engineer in Hydrocarbons Recovery at the Mexican Institute of Petroleum. Published papers: 31 Papers presented in congresses:  56 Research projects in which she has participated: 36. Research interest topics: Enhanced oil recovery (Water, Nitrogen, Natural gas, Air, Steam and CO2) in homogeneous and vuggy naturally fractured reservoirs, diffusion and natural convection in reservoirs, electricity flow in porous media (formation resistivity factor vs porosity new relations). Currently working in projects related to enhanced oil recovery by thermal methods (in situ combustion and steam) and oil/gas recovery from shale reservoirs.
