Associate Professor, Petroleum Engineering at University of Alberta

Japan Trivedi is an Associate Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research projects include gas and chemical EOR for conventional and unconventional reservoirs, steam and solvent processes, heavy oil recovery, assisted history matching, machine learning, and closed loop reservoir optimization. He is leading CFREF $1 million project on machine learning and real-time optimization of thermal processes at the University of Alberta.  he has authored or co-authored more than 100 refereed-journal and conference papers. Dr. Trivedi received PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta, MSc in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M University and B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat University, India. He has served on numerous conference technical committees, including World Heavy Oil Congress, SPE Calgary Heavy Oil Technical Conference, Canadian Society of Chemical Engineering, and Carbon Management Technology Conference.
